Rows upon rows of dirty lockers, smelly locker rooms and empty classrooms: What’s a school to do? Hiring a professional cleaning service would be a good place to start. The summer months offer the perfect access to schools for a complete clean.
Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services has years of experience with deep cleaning and freshening educational facilities. Our A+ quality work will prepare your school for a positive start to the new school year.
Sanitize and Disinfecting All High-Touch Surfaces
Schools are large community gathering places, so reducing risks of spreading viruses is essential for the health of teachers, students and parents while school is in session. In addition to routine janitorial services, Office Pride cleaning teams regularly sanitize and disinfect all high-touch surfaces (such as doorknobs, light switches, locker handles, faucets, keyboards, phones) to help prevent illness. Thorough dusting, mopping and vacuuming also help to prevent a buildup of allergens and possible pest infestations.
Summer is the time to wipe down empty lockers, inside and out.
Other areas that deserve extra attention while school is out:
- Classrooms, offices and library
- Hallways, lockers and often-overlooked drinking fountains
- Cafeteria and teachers’ lounge, including vending machines, microwave handles and napkin dispensers; refrigerators emptied and wiped clean
- Complete sanitizing and disinfection of restrooms, plus refilling soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers and toilet rolls
- PE locker rooms and weight rooms, including wiping down shared equipment
Using Your Summer Advantage
Additionally, summer is the ideal time to take advantage of specialty cleaning services that can be hard to manage when school is in session. Office Pride recommends taking advantage of the quiet summer period to wash windows inside and out, clean light covers and replace bad bulbs, as well as to strip and wax hard floors. Being diligent about carpet and floor maintenance not only keeps floors looking like new and but also helps carpeting and flooring last longer.
Take advantage of the summer break to restore your school to grade A condition. Partner with Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services so you can take a well-deserved break.
