As the strain of COVID-19 continues to affect work environments, companies are challenged to be agile. For instance, these challenges include work schedules that best suit their businesses, employees and clients. Hybrid work schedules have been an innovative way for offices to keep people routinely coming to work. It does it while recognizing the importance of safety, sanitization and social distancing. In fact, according to a 2020 Mercer Survey, 90% of employers said productivity with flexible work schedules stayed the same or improved with employees working remotely.
Gartner research indicates that four out of 10 employees are at risk of leaving if employers insist on a return to a full in-person office environment. While reducing the number of people at the office, the hybrid work schedule reveals new obstacles that should be considered by managers providing safety protocols.
Select a Normal Office Cleaning Schedule That Protects the Hybrid Model
To begin, there is no benefit in having a hybrid schedule if your office does not have a cleaning plan. For example, if a team comes to the office on back-to-back days, like Monday and Tuesday, then professional commercial cleaning should be done Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning before a different group arrives.
Maintain Strategies Between Scheduled Cleanings
Protocols should be available and posted in writing, and employees should receive regular reminders about your cleaning expectations. Provide your teams clear directions of what they are responsible for cleaning and how to clean between professional cleanings safely.
Ideally, have hand sanitizer as well as cleaning wipes and disinfectant sprays readily available so employees can pitch in to help protect themselves as well as their colleagues is .
