Carpets add comfort, warmth and aesthetic appeal to religious spaces like churches, mosques and synagogues. The goal of thorough carpet cleaning is not only to maintain the cleanliness of the carpet but also to preserve its longevity, especially in historical or sacred
spaces.
Before modern machines, people used various methods such as beating, shaking and brushing to clean carpets. But now, professional carpet cleaning services have become common and Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services can provide cutting-edge commercial carpet cleaning according to the needs of a church and its congregation.
We can customize our services to fit the needs of each church, helping to provide healthier, safer places to worship. Dirt, mud, snow and other seasonal substances can attach themselves to the bottom of your parishioners’ feet, which can have a lasting and detrimental impact on your congregation if you aren’t diligent about your cleaning schedule.
Clean floors are among the most often cited complaints in customer satisfaction surveys. In religious parlance, the customers are your congregation. Office Pride’s services include:
- Spot removal
- Low-moisture deep cleaning for carpet
- Hot-water (extraction) deep cleaning for carpet
- Deodorization
Did you know there’s a whole other micro-biome living in your carpets? Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean harmful germs aren’t lodged in your church carpets. Carpets are a sponge for dirt, dust, bacteria and other debris.
In addition to the bacteria, your carpets can also harbor other harmful pathogens like mildew, staphylococcus, norovirus, salmonella and E. coli. If you don’t have these carpets cleaned regularly, it can cause health problems – especially for elderly parishioners who can have other underlying medical conditions that are triggered by these pathogens.
Although religious spaces may not experience the same amount of daily traffic as flooring in an office, school or medical facility, the constant foot traffic from religious services will leave its mark on the carpets over time.
And when performed regularly, specialty cleaning services like carpet and flooring cleaning can extend their useful life in general. Regular maintenance and cleaning can prevent the need for early carpet replacement, saving the church money in the long run. Clean carpets can also contribute to a more sustainable, eco-friendly environment by reducing the need for premature disposal and replacement of carpets.
In-house janitorial staff aren’t enough to protect your facilities and keep them healthy. Nonprofessionals are also more apt to cause damage from not knowing the proper chemicals to use for particular carpets or from using the wrong equipment.
Hiring a professional cleaner is a key important step in protecting your church from harmful exposure to bacteria that live in carpets. It encompasses health, safety, financial considerations, and aligns with the spiritual and communal values of many religious organizations.
