Mopping and Sweeping Are Not Enough
Business managers who work in carpeted office spaces likely know that carpets need professional cleaning several times a year. From regular vacuuming to spot removal to hot-water extraction, professional carpet cleaning extends the life of the carpet and keeps the office looking fresh.
However, tile, vinyl, hardwood and concrete floors are often overlooked when it comes to professional cleaning. While hard floors do not retain debris as much as carpet does, they still get dirty and require the attention of expert commercial cleaners. Mopping and sweeping are important, but to maximize long-term durability and appearance, hard surface flooring needs proper care. Without routine maintenance and cleaning, everyday foot traffic will scratch your floors or lose their finish.
Offices, retail spaces, financial institutions, medical facilities, schools, commercial properties and other work spaces with hard floor surfaces each need specific attention depending on the location of floor, type of floor and amount of foot traffic. There are a variety of ways to care for hard surface flooring, and it is best to get the advice of an expert commercial cleaner to learn what method will work best for your work space.

Benefits of Clean Hard Surface Flooring
Enhanced Appearance
Did you know clean floors are among the most frequently cited metrics in customer satisfaction surveys? Make a great impression with clean flooring. Customer service is a factor in repeat business; however, nine out of 10 Americans say cleanliness matters, according to the 2017 Consumer Cleaning Insights Survey* by P&G Professional™. When asked to select what areas would be the most noticeable, 34 percent chose dirty or sticky floors.
Increased Life of Flooring
If you care for your hard surface flooring, you can prevent damage. Extend the life of the floor by simply taking care of it today. A good analogy is a regular visit to the dentist, who removes buildup you can’t remove with daily brushing. A deep clean will remove dirt, debris and mildew that regular mopping and sweeping don’t achieve.
Reduced Risk of Injury
Slips and falls are a leading cause of injuries for all age groups. According to the Centers for Disease Control, the average cost of a slip and fall is more than $30,000. Prevent slippery buildup with routine hard surface flooring maintenance and cleaning.
The experts at Office Pride are always ready to help your business shine, from the front door to the clean floor. Our state-of-the-art equipment, high quality cleaning products and attention to detail will help your business look good and extend the life of your hard surface floors for years.
