Reputable commercial cleaning companies employ excellent staff, have outstanding communication, and use proven processes and products. Does your commercial cleaner utilize these cleaning industry best practices to deliver exceptional results? In this guide, we’ll go over the basics to find out for yourself.
Provide an Excellent Contact
First of all, your contact should be well versed in the details of your contract and in onboarding you as a new client, paying special attention to specific areas or topics of concern you have about your particular workspace. They should also be readily available by phone, text or email and respond quickly to any issues or concerns that arise during or after your scheduled commercial cleanings. In addition, they should provide solutions for one-time and periodic cleaning needs.
Employ Professional Commercial Cleaning Staff
Next, the people completing your commercial cleaning should meet the highest of standards. Make sure your commercial cleaning company completes background checks of employees and is bonded and insured. Moreover, excellent commercial cleaning companies like Office Pride foster a culture of accountability that includes professionalism, punctuality and communication. Franchise owners train cleaners to be careful with equipment and schedule cleanings to avoid or minimize disruptions to their customer’s workday. Their employees wear uniforms to help others quickly identify them as commercial cleaning staff.
Provide Ongoing Training
Reputable commercial cleaning companies ensure that their franchise owners properly train in equipment use and cleaning processes. Strategies like working from top to bottom and using specific products for different areas are standard cleaning industry best practices. From the very first time they visit your office, you should have confidence that your commercial cleaners are proficient with the equipment and products they are using and that they are using a methodical process for predictable and consistent results.
Use State-of-the-Art Equipment
Technology upgrades and improvements affect all industries, including commercial cleaning. Commercial cleaners that use state-of-the-art and updated equipment routinely provide higher quality service. Therefore, the work is completed more often, more thoroughly and more efficiently with less environmental impact. This is particularly important with commercial cleaning floor equipment. Don’t hesitate to ask when the equipment was last upgraded.
Use Approved and Effective Products
Great commercial cleaning companies use products that are safe and effective. Many commercial cleaners use products with little or no environmental impact when possible. In addition, using pre-measured amounts of cleaning products ensures use of the right quantity. Companies like Office Pride use color-coded and/or disposable cloths for certain types of cleaning to avoid cross-contamination. Whatever the process, the goal is always to eliminate dust, dirt and grime, while avoiding the spread of germs.
Top tip when implementing cleaning industry best practices: Utilize Processes
Lastly, make sure your commercial cleaning company has effective and proven processes in place. This affects everything from pricing and staffing, to training, customer service and more. You want to get the clean office you desire, completed by professionals providing top results and excellent customer service.
Adhere to Regulatory Requirements
In conclusion, your commercial cleaning company should adhere to regulatory requirements associated with owning and operating a commercial cleaning business. Furthermore, look for additional accreditations for further validation of the company.
