When you think of summer, you think of days at the beach and lake. You may think of travel and family vacations. But, you probably don’t equate summer with germs. One thing’s for sure: Germs don’t take a break for summer. In fact, this time of the year is the perfect breeding ground for germs.
Compounding the issue is the fact that this summer has been unusually humid. After a season of record rainfall in many parts of the U.S., homes and businesses are facing new concerns about germ control. It’s absolutely critical to make sure you stay on top of your janitorial cleaning needs during the summer season.
Three important components for tackling summer’s germs include keeping your office desktops and computers clean, maintaining your floors, and decluttering the workspace environment.
Keep Your Computers and Keyboards Clean
Did you know there are more germs that live on your desktop keyboard than on a toilet seat? Sounds crazy, but think about it. Most of us spend a good portion of our day in front of a computer. You may wash your hands every time you use the bathroom, but do you wash your hands every time you use your keyboard? We hardly ever think about the need for cleaning our computers or keyboards.
Enter Office Pride Janitorial Service. “Hiring the right company to service your office’s janitorial needs can increase employee productivity,” according to Olon Hyde, Director of Operations at Office Pride.
Office Pride has done extensive research on what it takes to ensure quality janitorial cleaning. With nearly three decades of servicing businesses nationwide, this proven brand knows that a clean office typically means fewer colds and flu come fall and that means a better working environment and increased productivity. “Happy employees thrive in well-maintained and well-cleaned spaces,” said Hyde.
Maintain a Clean Floor
Think about all the germs that are tracked in each day at any given business. And floor care can often be overlooked. That is a huge mistake for businesses. Floor care needs to be a top priority.
The floor care offered by Office Pride Janitorial Service really shines! “We pride ourselves on the state-of-the-art equipment and technology that our floor care specialists use,” said Hyde. Not only is Office Pride known for its attention to detail, it is also known for adhering to strict OSHA compliance. Using a janitorial service company that is environmentally safe is so important. And it can make the difference in maintaining a great company presence and keeping happy, healthy employees.
Declutter the Office
It makes sense. The more clutter in an office, the more surface space for germs to flourish. It’s important to encourage employees (yourself included) to keep their workspaces organized and neat. Operating from an organized space can increase productivity and help overall well-being.
A decluttered space allows a janitorial service company like Office Pride to come in and really give a thorough clean to the areas that need it most. Office Pride Janitorial has a great track record of retaining top-quality staff who you can trust and who know your office space well. They are experts at using the right chemicals and equipment to reduce the spread of germs.
Office Pride Janitorial can tackle the toughest germs. And, you’ll still get to enjoy the last few weeks of summer knowing that you’ve made the best choice for your business.
