The best defense is a good offense when it comes to avoiding situations that require emergency cleaning for dental offices.
That means developing a plan that tackles the routine maintenance that goes into keeping a clean medical office, minimizing opportunities that can lead to cleaning catastrophes and puts patient care at the forefront.
Dental anxiety is a serious issue among patients, with 60% reporting in a survey by Hello Products that they were too scared to visit the dentist. A strong relationship with Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services can help dental office managers ease that anxiety by providing their patients with a clean and healthy environment when they open the door to a practice.
And that begins with a customized cleaning plan tailored to their needs at their location.
First Impressions Matter
A clean reception area can make a significant difference in the perception of your patients. This is the first place they enter your practice. Keeping this area clean can help your patients feel more comfortable, and it can also reduce stress and anxiety that they might already be feeling when coming to their appointment.
In this area, carpet cleaning should be done on a regular basis and furniture should always be maintained and in good condition. You want patients to feel comfortable when they enter, and removing clutter and debris from the environment can help them and your employees feel more relaxed.
Disinfect High-Touch Patient Treatment Areas
The state of cleanliness inside your patient treatment areas is critical to ensuring the health of your patients. These areas need specific attention.
An effective cleaning plan includes wiping and disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as faucets, doorknobs, light switches and countertops. Routine cleaning removes soil that may harbor germs. Disinfecting with a proven disinfectant product will kill the remaining germs.
Office Pride delivers a proprietary Healthy Clean System™ that provides cutting-edge commercial cleaning and disinfection services as often as needed in dental offices. Office Pride locations can help you select the level of sanitization and disinfection services that meet your needs.
The cleaning teams will coordinate with your office staff to also properly clean all patient chairs, arm and head rests, X-ray equipment, high-touch areas of drawers, cabinets and other surfaces in patient areas.
Color Coding for Added Protection
Office Pride’s teams begin by removing any visible debris in the area and wiping down the treatment areas with specialized color-coded cleaning cloths that prevent cross contamination.
Using the color-coded process identifies the specific use for each microfiber cloth and reduces the risk of cross contamination. The microfiber material is used because it has been found to be more efficient and durable than traditional cleaning cloths and provides a higher resistance to bacteria, which is extremely important in a medical environment.
Restroom Cleanliness
Keeping your office restrooms clean might seem like a no-brainer but it’s critical to make sure it’s presentable to your patients. That means keeping floors clean and supplies stocked to meet the needs of your customers.
Toilet paper, soap, paper towels and trash bags should always be stocked. Office Pride’s crews can stay on top of your supplies and provide regular cleaning of your office restrooms as part of your customized plan.
Aligning Janitorial Services
Office Pride also provides a full range of janitorial services that also includes sweeping and vacuuming, wet and dry mopping, secure trash removal, dusting, blinds cleaning and the cleaning of walls, ceilings and baseboards.
