Meet the Owner: Tom Brown
Office Pride of Shelbyville-Columbus
Tom and Julie Brown are multi-unit owners of eight independently owned and operated Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services franchise locations in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. The locations include Shelbyville-Columbus, Carmel-Westfield, Terre Haute-Brazil and Lafayette-West Lafayette in Indiana; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Lexington-Georgetown, Elizabethtown-Radcliff and Louisville-Jefferson in Kentucky.
Tom has more than 20 years of experience as a business leader, primarily in the field of construction. He successfully managed a variety of projects for clients, both large and small, and was adept at coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. His goal was, and is, to consistently provide excellent service to his customers.
Julie served students and families for many years as a preschool teacher before moving into the corporate world.
The Browns, who have their headquarters in Carmel, serve their commercial clients by offering a full range of cleaning services, including automated robotic cleaning services and an interactive app for customer feedback.
In addition, they offer various specialty services, including hot water carpet extraction, floor stripping and waxing, burnishing, deep cleaning and sanitization, disinfection and electrostatic spray treatment, which is effective in disinfecting common areas, personal spaces and hard-to-reach corners and crevices. Electrostatic sprayers are vital in the fight against the spread of germs that cause flu and other respiratory illnesses.
The partnership between the Browns and Office Pride is a marriage made in heaven, as both cite honoring God as their top core value.
“Honoring God is our No. 1 value,” Tom says. “That this is also the No. 1 core value of the Office Pride system is quite impactful and meaningful to us. We strive to love others well, showing grace and mercy for those we have the opportunity to cross paths with.”
The Browns have three sons, two daughters in law and two grandchildren. The family enjoys spending time together, especially outdoors and on the water. The golf course and the beach are their favorite places to unwind.
When not spending time with their sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren, they enjoy attending church and talking with others about life and faith.
“We are a close family and enjoy meeting and helping others,” Julie says.
