Quality commercial cleaning services can have many positive outcomes for your business. A well-maintained facility gives your customers and prospective clients a good first impression and reflects positively on your brand. A neat and clean workplace communicates that you value quality and attention to detail. By choosing a provider that understands your industry, you can maximize the benefits. The right partner will provide the professionalism, expertise, responsiveness and quality you expect and deserve.
Consider these questions when selecting an effective commercial cleaning service:
Are You Locked into a Contract with a Commercial Cleaner?
Be sure to get defined and transparent pricing during the proposal stage. You will want to know exactly what is included and ask about the prices of add-on services for when you need them. Know the details of your contract: Is it monthly, semi-annual or annual? What are the cancelation terms?
At Office Pride, we believe we should earn your business every time, which is why we offer an annual performance-based service agreement with no binding contract. You can cancel at any time with 30-days’ notice.
Is the Commercial Cleaning Company Licensed and Bonded?
Janitorial work carries certain risks. Reputable commercial cleaning companies handle their own liability and insurance costs. With a commercial cleaning company handling the responsibilities of cleaning standards, staffing, schedules, background checks, OSHA requirements and insurance costs, your company can focus on business rather than liability issues related to commercial cleaning.
Are the Company’s Cleaners Background Checked?
Make sure you hire a commercial cleaning company that vets its own employees and runs background checks. When cleaners are subcontracted, you run the risk of a disconnect between the cleaning company and the cleaner. Trust is one of the most important values to consider when selecting a commercial cleaning service.
How Will You Communicate with Your Cleaner?
Whether you desire to give positive feedback or need a solution to a problem, you will want to understand the cleaning company’s communication system. Do they send follow-up emails that allow you to communicate important issues that may need attention? How will they let you know if there is a staff change and someone new is introduced to your work environment? Communication is critical, and a good communication plan benefits everyone.
Does Your Commercial Cleaning Service Provide Training and Conduct Inspections?
Different types of businesses require different types of cleaning. This means training is very important. For example, cleaning a bank requires different techniques than cleaning a medical facility. A commercial cleaner working in a bank needs to follow special trash removal procedures and understand high-security demands like working with alarm and coded access systems. A commercial cleaner working in a medical facility will need OSHA safety training and bloodborne pathogen training. Inspections ensure that protocol is being followed and allow for improvements to be made if necessary.
Does Your Commercial Cleaner Follow Industry Best Practices for Quality Control?
Every industry has accepted methods or techniques that show superior results called best practices. Those results should be used as a benchmark or standard that can be measured.
Just like you provide expertise in your business, professional cleaners are leaders and experts in their industry. At Office Pride, we train our staff in the most advanced cleaning methods, and because our cleaners’ work is constantly being assessed, quality control is achievable and easy to maintain.
