Orlando and Tawanda Pitts are the franchise owners of Office Pride of Birmingham-Highland Park.

Orlando and Tawanda have been together for 22 years and married for 17 years. They have two sons, Brandon and Tyler. The Pitts family has a strong love for the Lord and says without Him, none of this would have been possible. They enjoy spending time together as a family and supporting their sons in all their activities and sporting events.

Orlando and Tawanda also enjoy mentoring and supporting other special kids of family and friends, and they call them their own. They also regularly donate to schools and many other organizations throughout their community and the surrounding areas.

Orlando Pitts, Director of Operations

Orlando brings more than 15 years of service experience more than 20 years of management experience. He is studying Biblical counsel at Liberty University.

As director of operations for Office Pride of Birmingham-Highland Park, Orlando oversees the large and growing number of employees we have to serve our customers in North Alabama. Orlando sets guidelines by which we operate —protocols, policies and procedures — while identifying new growth opportunities.

Orlando interacts with all customers and resolves customer questions promptly. He provides client operational support and daily customer service. Orlando feels that personal one-on-one training with employees is key in maintaining customer relations. Through these efforts and by performing continuous inspections of all accounts, Office Pride has been able to maintain a strong customer retention rate of more than 90 percent.

Through Orlando’s leadership and solid work ethic, Office Pride of Birmingham-Highland Park has received both national and local awards, making it one of the fastest and largest growing franchises in the U.S., including the “Beverly McQueen Brand Ambassador Award,” which is one of the highest awards given from Office Pride. The franchise that receives the “Beverly McQueen Brand Ambassador Award” embodies the Office Pride identity with positive demeanor, strong leadership and successful recruiting.

Office Pride of Birmingham-Highland Park also received Office Pride’s “Top Percent Net Market Growth Award” and “The Top Net Market Growth Award,” and it was nominated for 2017 Small Business of the Year by the Madison Chamber of Commerce.

Tawanda Pitts, Accounts Payable Director

Tawanda studied business administration at Alabama A&M University. She has worked in management and logistics for the past 20 years. For the past 10 years, she has been a senior global commodity supply chain manager. She also provided special systems training, which at times caused her to travel out of the country to off-shore facilities.

She also traveled within and outside the U.S. to meet top-tier customers to support bids and price negotiations. Tawanda has now brought all of her expertise in management and logistics to help Office Pride of Birmingham-Highland Park maintain the tremendous growth that the company has seen over the last two years.

Tawanda’s experience in worldwide logistics has been a key component in helping Office Pride of Birmingham-Highland Park become more efficient in how we service our customers across North Alabama.
