Meet the Owner: Aaron Dykhuizen
Office Pride of Fort Wayne-Auburn
Aaron and Grace Dykhuizen are the owners of Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services of Fort Wayne-Auburn.
The couple, both of whom are natives of Fort Wayne, are excited to own a business that can contribute to the good health of their neighbors. “Grace and I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, so we decided to follow our dreams and open our own business,” says Aaron Dykhuizen. “Office Pride provides an essential service and gives us an opportunity to help keep our community clean and safe.”
Office Pride of Fort Wayne-Auburn, which operates out of an office in Auburn, provides a full range of high-quality commercial cleaning and routine janitorial services to offices, medical facilities, schools, churches, banks and other commercial properties in Fort Wayne, Auburn and surrounding areas. The company also offers specialty services such as floor stripping and carpet cleaning as well as electrostatic spray treatment. Electrostatic sprayers disinfect common areas, personal spaces and hard-to-reach corners and crevices and are vital to reduce the risk of COVID-19, flu and other respiratory illnesses.
Aaron Dykhuizen earned a bachelor’s degree in sales management from Purdue University. He has nine years’ experience in sales, sales management, leadership and recruiting with an automotive service supplier. “I have worked in fast-paced environments where keeping the customer happy is always the top priority,” he says. “Customer satisfaction is going to be our No. 1 goal. If we are providing a top-notch service for our customers, everything else will take care of itself.”
Grace Dykhuizen earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development and exceptional needs from Purdue University. She was a first-grade teacher for four years and a resource teacher for one year. “My interest in human development and education will be key when it comes to training new employees and offering positive reinforcement,” she says. “That is key to produce great results and consistency for our customers.”
The couple decided to open their first business with Office Pride because of its reputation for integrity and service. “Office Pride is a faith-based organization that provides a structure and support team to ensure franchises are consistent and high-quality,” Aaron Dykhuizen says. “It was important to us that the company’s core values align with our own, and Office Pride was built on principles like honesty and total customer satisfaction.”
The Dykhuizens are members of the Dekalb Chamber Partnership.
