Our Company History

Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services was founded in 1992 by Todd Hopkins, who created the Office Pride concept as an independent research project when he was working on his MBA at Butler University. In developing a business plan for his project, Hopkins interviewed the leaders of a number of large cleaning companies and asked what they would do differently if they were just starting the company, and how they would deliver “total customer satisfaction.”

Using his research and commitment to customer satisfaction, Hopkins started Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services, an industry leader whose spotless reputation earns rave reviews from franchisees, clients and competitors. From the beginning, he was determined to build a long-term profitable business that glorified God while serving the community. Starting with just $20,000 from his personal savings and a little help from his family and friends, Hopkins worked out of his home, cleaning at night and signing up customers during the day. It wasn’t always easy, but he persevered, relying on his faith and business skills.

Today, Office Pride is a nationally acclaimed commercial cleaning franchise with more than 130 franchises and thousands of happy customers. Office Pride is listed in Franchise Business Review’s Hall of Fame and is ranked among Franchise Business Review’s Top 50 franchises for its exceptional franchisee satisfaction ratings.

TODD HOPKINS

Todd Hopkins - Office Pride Founder
Todd Hopkins is founder and CEO of Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services. He holds a bachelor’s of business administration in management from the University of Memphis and an MBA from Butler University. He is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Birthing of Giants Executive Entrepreneurship Academy, a prestigious program for top entrepreneurs. He earned the Certified Building Services Executive designation from the Building Service Contracting Association International and serves on the organization’s board of directors. In 2008, he received the Walter L. Cook Award, the highest honor given by The Building Service Contractors Association International, for distinguished service to the commercial cleaning industry. He has authored or co-authored four best-selling books, “The Carrot Chaser,” “The Janitor,” “Five Wisdoms for Entrepreneur Survival” and most recently, “The Stress Less Business Owner.”
